Suppression of Multiple Sclerosis by Ultraviolet Light

چکیده
The inverse relationship of multiple sclerosis to sunlight exposure was proposed at least 50 years ago but conclusive evidence is unavailable. Since the proposal made, many researchers have jumped conclusion vitamin D mediates this effect. Vitamin a pro-hormone produced in skin by ultraviolet irradiation and/or sun exposure. In addition, an between plasma levels metabolite, 25(OH)D3, and reduced incidence has been noted. As result clinical trials carried out determine if supplementation can suppress disease. results not supported idea. animal model (experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis) hypothesis refuted. Ultraviolet irradiation, on other hand, consistently reduces severity experimental encephalomyelitis. Because encephalomyelitis widely accepted human sclerosis, testing efficacy narrow band light suppression appear warranted. If fact does isolation identification compound should be initiated.

the main purpose of this research was to:1.develop a coking model for thermal cracking of naphtha.2.study coke inhibition methods using different coke inhibitors.developing a coking model in naphtha cracking reactors requires a suitable model of the thermal cracking reactor based on a reliable kinetic model.to obtain reliable results all these models shall be solved simultaneously.for this pu...

There is compelling epidemiological evidence that the risk of developing multiple sclerosis is increased in association with low levels of sun exposure, possibly because this is associated with low vitamin D status. Recent work highlights both vitamin D and non-vitamin D effects on cellular immunity that suggests that higher levels of sun exposure and/or vitamin D status are beneficial for both...
متن کاملSuppression of mitoxantrone cardiotoxicity in multiple sclerosis patients by dexrazoxane.
OBJECTIVE To explore the potential of dexrazoxane to suppress subclinical cardiotoxicity in MS patients receiving mitoxantrone. METHODS An open-label study was performed to evaluate possible subclinical cardiotoxicity in multiple sclerosis patients treated quarterly with mitoxantrone (48 mg/m(2) cumulative), with and without concomitant dexrazoxane, using blinded serial radionucleide ventricu...

Abstract: Background and objectives: There is a great interest in photocatalytic oxidation of contaminants, using ZnO, in recent years. The main objective of this research was to study photocatalytic disinfection of E. coli bacteria as water microbial pollution index, using nano particles of ZnO and a UV lamp in a batch reactor. Material and Methods: In this study, the contaminated water sample...
